Overview

1D ToF Sensor

ToF stands for Time of Flight technology, which involves the sensor emitting modulated near-infrared light (or visible light) that reflects off objects. By calculating the time difference or phase difference between the emission and reflection of the light, the sensor can convert the distance of the photographed scene to generate depth information. When combined with traditional camera photography, the three-dimensional contour of the object can be presented in a topographic map with different colors representing different distances.
